Our next meeting on the 10th Dec

Hi everyone,
nice to read your message Lucy, and the private view went very well thanks. This is the last weekend of the exhibition so hopefully there'll be a nice flow of viewers coming through the doors. My latest work actually featured my drawings but in an installation which featured different ways of displaying them, which was interesting to consider. Do we look at or value work differently if our gaze is directed downwards, or upwards? Or if it is not framed in a traditional way.

I found the feedback from the peer critique useful and interesting, as it throws up the usual
issues around presenting work and making what you create, which generally has numerous
layers involved of ideas and processes, something that others can relate to. Also keeping the original focus and not getting too sidetracked and therefore confused and confusing.

The CV feedback and discussion was definitely fruitfull, as its a struggle to know what to leave in and what to exclude as well as format as we're all aware. I needed to pay attention to the order of different sections, ie why put community art projects before visual art practice, why bother with age, ensure that what kind of artist you are is defined at the beginning in the profile, keep it concise, and format correctly from a graphics point of view.

This has encouraged me to amend and reconsider what needs to be there.

I'm looking forward to Thursday which looks like a good way of us gathering our thoughts and
projecting ourselves forwards, whatever point we're at as individuals.

Last thoughts:
1.I also like the idea of an online gallery for the group, and having an exhibtion trip, we could talk about this on Thursday and consider what we might choose to see.
2.Hope we can get Susan back at the end of the project.
3.Should we have a mince pie moment on Thursday?????
